Privacy Policy

This page explains what the BMI calculator itself does with your inputs and what information may be processed by analytics, advertising, hosting and other website services.

Effective: August 2026BMI inputs calculated locally

Your height and weight

The BMI calculator performs its calculation locally in your web browser. Height and weight entered into the calculator are not submitted to our server as part of the BMI calculation.

In practical terms: entering 180 cm and 75 kg causes the browser to calculate the result on the device you are using. The calculator does not require an account, name, email address or sign-in.

This statement applies to the calculator's own calculation process. Other services used by the website, such as analytics and advertising, may process technical information about your visit as described below.

Website measurement

We may use Google Analytics or similar measurement services to understand how the site is used and to improve performance and content. Depending on configuration and your region or consent choices, analytics technologies may process information such as:

Analytics information is used to understand aggregate usage patterns, diagnose problems and improve the site. We do not intentionally send the height or weight values entered into the BMI calculator to Google Analytics.

Advertising technologies

The site may display third-party advertising, including advertising delivered through Adcash or other advertising partners. Advertising services may use cookies, local storage, device or browser information, network information and other technical signals to deliver advertisements, measure performance, limit repeated displays, prevent fraud and, where permitted, select more relevant advertising.

Advertising providers operate under their own privacy policies and technology controls. The specific advertisements and providers visible to a visitor can vary by country, device, browser, availability and other factors.

Hosting and security logs

Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure may automatically record technical request information. This can include an IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser or user-agent information, response status and other diagnostic or security data.

These records can be used for site operation, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, security and traffic analysis.

Cookies and similar technologies

Analytics, advertising and other website services may use cookies or similar browser storage. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking storage or scripts may change how analytics, advertisements or some website features behave.

Where consent is legally required for particular technologies, the applicable consent controls should be used before those technologies are enabled for that purpose.

Third-party links

The site links to external resources, including public-health references and other websites. Once you follow an external link, the destination site's own privacy policy and practices apply. We do not control the content, security or privacy practices of third-party websites.

Controls available to you

You can use browser privacy controls to clear or restrict cookies and local storage, limit tracking, block scripts, or manage permissions. Some analytics and advertising providers also offer their own privacy and preference controls.

If you choose to block a third-party technology, the core BMI formula can still operate in the browser as long as the calculator's own JavaScript is allowed to run.

Updates to this policy

This policy may be updated when the site's technology, advertising, analytics or operational practices change. The effective date shown above identifies the current published version.
